Lake Titticaca sits at about 3800m high in the Andes. It is said to be
the origin of the Inca, and contains the oldest ruins of the empire.
Isla del Sol is covered with ancient terraces, and was the religious
centre for the Inca priests and kings.
Isla Del Luna was the Island of the Women. Some of the
structures had been restored. The stepped cross represents the
three worlds of Inca religion.
