Davin Peterson has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry with an extensive background in software engineering, fibre optic networks and wireless communications.

Education

Davin Peterson earned a BSc.Eng Bachelor of Science and Mechanical-Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University in 1996 and a certificate in Visual Arts. Between 1996 and 2001 Mr Peterson worked for various government, academic and commercial organisations including the, Australian Federal Government and software consulting for financial institutions in London. He has also travelled extensively visiting most continents with an interest in art, archictecture and appreciates great human endevours including the Pyramids and Machu Pichu.

2021- 2024 H2BASETech Hydrogen Fuel Production Ltd.

H2BASETech was founded in 2021 to address the urgent need for clean energy and in an effort to combat climate change. Mr. Peterson has extensive experience with the design of hydrogen production facilities as this was one of the major subjects in his studies at Princeton. This company has the design for a new Hydrogen production facility that uses electrolysis to produce hydrogen which is then liquified and shipped to its end use in Canada and along the West Coast of north America. Industry Associations and Experience

Davin Peterson is an active member of the IEE and has served on the board for a couple of years for the BC Broadband Association and the Ashlu Creek Community Foundation. Before starting Base Technology in 2004, Mr Peterson worked for over 10 years as a Software Engineer and Applications Development Manager for various academic, government institutions and private companies around the world.

2002- 2004 Software Engineer

Working at Origin is an excellent experience. Origin is a super talented graphic design agency based in Whistler. While at Origin I was responsible for developing web applications ranging from simple sites, content management for ski resorts, golf, heli-skiing applications and real time e-commerce system for Whistler Blackcomb.

1997- 1999 Australian Federal Government

After a successful career as a Public servant with the Australian Federal Government Davin proceeded to develop financial transaction systems for banks in London England and also completed an e-commerce system for a private Canadian company in 2004 with multiple currencies and sale of hard goods. At this time he then started a wireless software Internet company now based in Whistler BC Canada using the latest developments in fibre and wireless communications technology.

Previous responsibilities include the management of an independent telecommunications company serving rural and remote communities and First Nations with infrastructure funding from provincial and federal government. Tasks include engineering and design of communications sites, management of network operations, business development and financial systems.

Projects that have been successfully completed for government, academic and private industry serve power stations, First Nations, remote communities and municipal government with essential communications infrastructure.

Travel, Art and Music
